GLENALLACHIE 11YO TAWNY PORT WOOD FINISH WHISKY

The GlenAllachie 11 YO Port Wood Finish was released in 2020. It has been matured in American oak barrels and then finished in Ruby Port Wood Pipes.

Nose: Earthy fruitiness and chocolate is what first comes to mind (and nose). Mustard seeds, rhubarb, tomato plant and a softly acidic oakiness (which is delightful, by the way - although I realize it might not sound that way).

Taste: Creamy, rich and full bodied. Deep and earthy fruitiness again. Vanilla. Fruity hard candy. Ripe plums.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Continues as it started, but there is a soft oakiness to it now. Also nuts, tomato plans and cut grass.
